ADJUSTOR 2SS / ROPE AND HARNESS TRAINING

Also known as Steep and Tall Training, our Adjuster 2SS course is like having an unending fuel tank in your vehicle on your path to adjusting success.

Course Overview

Without being 2SS Certified, you vastly limit your income potential as a claims adjuster.

Unlike component billing, where you bill per claim (covered in Adjuster 101), 2SS deployments typically have a “day rate” associated with them. Day rates can be terrific because regardless of the amount of claims you run that day, you will still make your rate. A Field Adjuster’s day rate will typically range between $539 – $750 per day.

You can also run more claims on a per claim billing basis as a qualified 2SS Adjuster, which increases your earning potential. Without this certification, however, you’re much more likely to be released from the storm site faster than an adjuster who is 2SS Certified.

This 1-Day Course is designed for any adjuster who is interested in expanding their marketability as an adjuster who can handle any type of claim that’s sent their way — whether you’re looking to train as as solo 2SS Claim Representative or for a position on a steep roof team.

What you can expect:

Train to Adjust’s 1-Day 2SS course will teach you how to safely and effectively climb, measure, and examine roofs with an excessive pitch. You’ll also learn methods to greatly reduce risk of injury while working on roofs, and increase your chances of working on a Catastrophe site for a prolonged period of time.

This is a hands-on class where you will be trained on several roofs with a variety of pitches up to a 14/12 pitch.

You’ll learn:

  • How to safely and effectively use carabiners, ascenders, gri-gri’s, and emergency improvisation
  • How to safely climb a roof using a rope and harness
  • Why and how to use the different types of rope (static vs dynamic)
  • Safety methods and tips
  • Remember, “Red is Dead”

What to bring:

  • Gloves for climbing
  • Rubber-soled shoes
  • Paper
  • Pen
  • Clipboard

Dress code is casual work attire: jeans and climbing shoes.
